Hi! We are a Dutch dad & American mom, both bilingual, looking for a loving babysitter to help care for our 3 girls and speak Dutch to them all the time. Light housework (help with laundry, meal prep, tidying up & loading/emptying dishwasher at the end of each day) is also expected.

Both mom & Dad are bilingual (Dutch/English). Dad also speaks German, the mom also speaks French and Italian. Eldest daughter speaks English and Dutch (her Dutch is getting rusty) and is learning Spanish at school.

We are very keen for our children to continue to speak and learn Dutch, and will supplement with lessons.

We’re looking for a live-out Dutch-speaking nanny/babysitter to help care for our 3 girls, ages 8, 3.5, and 8 months, for 35-ish hours a week. By the time you start in Aug/September 202-, they will be almost 9, 4, and one year old.

Hours would be 11:30-7, with flexibility to come later and/or stay later some nights.

We will be moving back to the Netherlands (Amsterdam area) in July/Aug of 2022 or 2023. So the position is 1-2 years in New York City (Manhattan) with flexibility to move back when we do and keep working for us.

This would be an ideal match for someone studying early childhood education/training to be a teacher who has some experience caring for children and wants to come live abroad for a year or two. Once we are back in the Netherlands the position would be part-time, as all but the youngest child will children be in full days of school.
