I have so many reasons why I want to become au pair. First, Aupair gives me the opportunity to live and travel abroad with guaranteed work and housing. Meaning to say I can save money and support my family in the Philippines as well. Second, cultural immersion. I want to discover different cultures as I am a Social Worker that socializes in a diverse culture environment. Third, I could gain independence. I am currently working here in Saudi Arabia as a Housemaid for 2 years. I couldn’t enjoy my stay and work coz I don’t have a day off, while doing all around maid so much of workloads. So as an aupair, I’ll get to be independent living and working out of my comfort zone. Entering a new environment will allow me to see myself, others and life in totally different perspective. Lastly, I could gain new skills, it will be very helpful for future life, both career and personally. I’ll learn leadership, flexibility, time management, problem solving, and so many more that I can apply in my future once I’m ready to settle down and have my own family.
