I am 37 years old and, after graduating from Oxford Brookes University with a BSc in Information Technology, have developed my career in various roles. These have progressed from Technical Support and Management through to Resource Management, Project Management and Service Management. More recently, and very differently: Teaching English, and running a Pool Bar and Café in The Algarve while travelling.

I became a single parent at the age of 15. When my daughter took a gap year to travel between her A-levels and starting university (She achieved straight A's in her A-level's and 5A*, 2A, 3B's in GCSE's), I realised that she was following a dream I’d always had, so I decided to put my career on hold, rent out my house, buy a VW T6 Campervan, and spend some time travelling Europe with my Black Labrador Molly.

Now, feeling very happy with my decision, and with financial stability back in England, I’m looking to do something I really enjoy while continuing to live in Spain. I've always been passionate about teaching and helping people to learn, children in particular. I strongly believe in spending time getting to know children individually in order to adapt my teaching style to suit their individual needs and ambitions.

I have many friends where English is their non-native language, and they very much appreciate spending time talking to me where I'll frequently correct them on any grammatical mistakes!
