My name is Sarah and I am a 23-year-old half German, half American girl currently working as a language assistant in Madrid. I speak both English and German fluently and am teaching both languages to students ranging from 6º primaria to 2º de bachillerato. I also speak and understand a good bit of Spanish, though there is definitely room for improvement.
As I am planning on staying in Spain over the summer, I am in search of a job for the time between the end of this school year and the beginning of next. I would love to work as a nanny or au pair during the summer months, but am open to other options as well! I have about ten years of babysitting and nannying experience, and on top of that, two years of teaching experience under my belt. I have cared for children ages 1 to 13, babysitting both one-on-one and in large group environments. In my babysitting jobs, I also helped around the house, prepared meals for the children and helped with school work. Since a young age, I always loved interacting with children and knew that I would eventually center my career around it.
While I have plenty of babysitting experience and would love a position as a German/English speaking nanny, I also can offer tutoring or teaching services, as I have a background in education. In May 2021, I graduated with a bachelor's degree in TESOL and German Education from the University of Georgia in the United States. In my last year of my studies, I conducted a year-long student teaching practice, where I took on the responsibilities of a German teacher at a secondary school. Currently, I am in a speaking assistant role for both the English and German language at a school in Madrid.
