Introduction
Conscious Parenting is not a set of rules for parents to follow, but a set of beliefs about what children need to develop and thrive.
In my experience as a Nanny, I have developed a practice that is centered around sensitive observation and respect for infants and toddlers. I have taken courses that have opened my eyes to a perspective that; as soon as a child is born, they are whole and complete humans and should be treated with that respect.
It is my promise to provide a physically safe, and nurturing environment for the child(ren). Within which, there is opportunity for them to initiate, explore and develop as self-learners.
With the integration of this perspective, there are naturally fewer power struggles because the child is allowed to retain a feeling of control while still in a safe and productive environment. I am able to maintain this environment while being consistently aligned with your values, morals, and disciplinary needs.
