Dear Host Family,

My name is Anabel, 22 years old from Leyte, Philippines. I am a licensed professional teacher and currently working as an ESL teacher, where I teach children from different countries and backgrounds. Being an ESL teacher, I have learned how to become patient, understanding, cheerful, and flexible when communicating with children.

I'm a simple person who loves nature and outdoor activities. I enjoy biking, walking, and even climbing trees just to pick fruits such as guava, avocado, cotton fruit, etc. since I love eating fruits. I also love spending time with my nieces, playing with them, and joining in their games.

My friends usually describe me as a caring, responsible, and independent person. At a young age, I already learned how to do household chores and even took care of my little sister as early as 14 years old since my mom was already gone. Rest assured that I will also take care of your child/children as much as I took care of my little sister.

I lost my mother in 2003, and my father later had found a new partner. I have three siblings: my eldest brother (kuya), my elder sister (ate), and youngest sister (bunso). Even though life was not always easy for us, these experiences helped me become strong, mature, and appreciative of family values.

I have experience caring for children aged 2 to 10 years old. My firsthand experience is with my two cute little nieces and goddaughter as well, since they are my cousin's daughters. The eldest one is 5 years old and the youngest is 3 years old. I usually feed them, change clothes, play with them, and teach simple things like body parts, counting, and daily learning activities. I also had my another childcare experience with my cousin, who is a boy. He is more energetic than my two nieces, I also usually feed, take a bath, and play with him. He's very talkative and smart. He's now 7 years old.

And of course, as an ESL teacher, I also had experience teaching kids and various kids from different nationalities, such as Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Arabian, my diverse students. Through these experiences, I realized that when teaching and taking care of children requires a lot of patience, understanding, energy, and cheerfulness and I genuinely enjoy when they learned what I taught.

Aside from that, I can also do household chores as what I've said earlier, I can do cooking, cleaning, organizing, and doing the laundry. I will do my best to make your home feel comfortable and warm and to keep everything in order while also caring for your child/children.

I am very excited to become an au pair because I would love to experience cultural exchange, meet new people, and learn more about life in another country while becoming part of a loving family. At the same time, I would also be happy to share my Filipino culture, traditions, and positivity with your family.
