Dear Future Host family,
I am Charlene, 23 years old an aspiring first time aupair from the Philippines. I would like to be an Au Pair because it’s a privilege, a good exploration and experience for me as I am young and want to experience more. It’s a cultural exchange, an opportunity to experience first hands on your country, learn your language, and everything that comes in with living there. And also to have a host family that I can help, to take good care of the little ones, help in the house and be a part of the family. I wanna grow with my host family as well, to learn and gain experiences from them as I live with them. I am willing to do my best in this field, it is a leap of faith for me to take a risk but I am willing to grow outside of my comfort zone and explore something new abroad.
I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in science major in Psychology. I am the oldest of 3 siblings, my mom died when I was 15, by this I am the one who takes care of my little brothers growing up since my father is working away from us. I am also surrounded with my nephews/nieces from my cousins ages 1-7 yrs. old, by this, I have experienced child care. I love kids and how curious and innocent they are, I’d love to be a big sister to guide them and enlighten them about things they’re curious of. To spend time with them and learn them with hobbies like arts as I do with my niece.
I can describe myself as an empath, I am a deep feeler. I am resilient as well and responsible. I take my time to read books, make poems, watch movies. I like nature, the mountains and beaches. I am active, I like music and dancing as well. I love pets. I own 3 dogs at home. As I am a psychology graduate and with my background with kids and my family I can assure you, my future host family that I will do my very best to be a perfect au pair. I am willing to grow and learn from them, from this experience.
