Dear Host Family,
my name is Anna, I am 22 years old and I currently live in Seattle. I currently live with my parents who are both teachers. I also have a brother who is 3 years older than me. In my free time, I like to paint, spend time in nature with friends, and ski in the winter. I currently work as a teacher, teaching children of all ages how to cook and bake. However, my experience working with children goes back to my childhood, as I babysat the neighborhood kids and helped my mom in her classroom. As a teenager, I also volunteered as a ski instructor for the younger ski teams for 3 years.
I want to become an au pair because I love working with children. I recently graduated from university with a bachelor's degree in psychology and am going to complete a master's degree in clinical psychology and cognitive neuroscience. This is all to pursue a career as a therapist with children. I hope to spend more time working with children within the German culture and language as an au pair to practice my German and help prepare me for my career.
