Introduction

Hello! My name is Naomi, and I am from the Philippines. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. I am excited about the opportunity to become an au pair because I genuinely enjoy caring for children, learning about different cultures, and becoming part of a family's everyday life. I believe that being an au pair is much more than helping with childcare. It is about building trust, creating meaningful relationships, and making a positive difference in a child's daily life while growing personally through cultural exchange.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of the Philippines. My education taught me to think critically, stay organized, and solve problems patiently. It also strengthened my communication skills and my ability to explain concepts in a simple and encouraging way. Because of this, I am comfortable helping children with homework, especially in mathematics and other school subjects. I understand that every child learns differently, so I always try to be patient, supportive, and encouraging.

After graduation, I joined the military because I wanted to challenge myself and serve my country. Unfortunately, I sustained an injury during my training and was medically discharged earlier than I had expected. Although it was a difficult experience, it taught me resilience, perseverance, and how to stay positive despite unexpected setbacks. My time in the military also strengthened my discipline, responsibility, teamwork, and ability to remain calm under pressure. These qualities continue to guide me in my daily life and will help me become a reliable member of your family.

During my recovery, I took a break to focus on my health, and it also became a meaningful opportunity to care for my young nephew and my grandmother. Helping care for my nephew allowed me to experience the joy and responsibility of supporting a child's daily routine. I spent time playing with him, keeping him engaged, assisting with his needs, and making sure he felt safe and cared for. At the same time, caring for my grandmother taught me patience, compassion, attentiveness, and the importance of being dependable for the people who rely on you. Looking after both a child and an elderly family member helped me become more nurturing, responsible, and adaptable, and it strengthened my desire to care for others.

I also help manage our family farm, where I have learned the value of hard work, accountability, and perseverance. Living and working in this environment taught me to take initiative, complete tasks independently, and appreciate the importance of helping others. Whether it is organizing work, caring for animals, maintaining cleanliness, or handling responsibilities, I always give my best effort. These experiences have made me resourceful and prepared me to handle responsibilities with confidence.

I describe myself as calm, responsible, patient, honest, and dependable. I enjoy keeping things organized and maintaining a clean environment because I believe a tidy home creates a comfortable atmosphere for everyone. I am also respectful, open-minded, and eager to learn. I understand that every family has different routines, parenting styles, and traditions, and I am happy to adapt while respecting your household rules and values.

I genuinely enjoy spending time with children. I love listening to their stories, answering their questions, reading books with them, helping with homework, playing educational games, doing arts and crafts, and encouraging outdoor play whenever possible. I believe children learn best when they feel safe, supported, and appreciated. I enjoy celebrating their small achievements and encouraging them to become confident, kind, and curious individuals.

One of my greatest strengths is patience. I understand that children sometimes have difficult days, become emotional, or need extra encouragement. Instead of becoming frustrated, I remain calm and try to understand how they are feeling. I believe that kindness, consistency, and positive communication are essential when caring for children. I want them to feel comfortable talking to me and to know they can always count on me.

I am also excited about sharing my Filipino culture with your family. I would love to teach your children simple Filipino words and phrases, introduce them to our traditions, share stories about life in the Philippines, and even cook some Filipino dishes if you would like. At the same time, I look forward to learning your language, traditions, and way of life. I believe cultural exchange is one of the most rewarding parts of becoming an au pair.

Outside of work, I enjoy watching, learning new skills, spending time outdoors, and exploring different cultures. I enjoy activities that allow me to continue learning because I believe personal growth never stops. I am excited to experience everyday life in a new country, meet new people, and create lasting memories with my host
