My name is Emily. I have been fully vaccinated for Covid-19 (Moderna). I live in the North Georgia Mountains. My dream is to travel abroad and learn traditions of another country in hopes of staying there permanently while helping the people I meet in any way I can. I am very good with kids and think that being an Au Pair will be exactly what I'm looking for. I have grown up babysitting boys and girls from the age of 5 up to teenagers. I have also assisted in festivals with giving kids pony rides and have taught them the basics of caring for horses. I am fun and easy-going and like to make people smile. I'm a great listener and am good at following directions. I like learning about new people and finding new ways to make them smile. I also like learning about new things, different traditions and cultures.
My interests include nature, music, animals, food, trying and learning new things. I like to explore, whether it's finding new ideas or going out to discover new places. To me, getting lost is the start of a new adventure that brings the best of memories. I like having my days planned out, but also like doing things in the spur of the moment. To me, making memories is an important part of life and I like to do whatever I can to make those memories as fun and loving as possible. I like to share my adventures with the people around me because I want them to be a part of the memories I'll keep.
One of the memories I cherish is when my little cousins and I were in the car driving to swim in a nearby lake. It was sort of quiet at first until one of our favorite childhood songs came on. We all immediately rolled down our windows and started singing along to it. I was the one driving so I didn't get to get a good glimpse of them, but when I glanced in my rear-view mirror and saw two of my cousins smiling and shouting out the lyrics at the top of their lungs while the oldest one was sitting in the passenger seat using her sunglasses as a microphone, I remember how much it warmed my heart to see four different people coming together to sing a childhood song. I love that memory because we were all so happy together and happiness is something I like to share with as many people as possible.
I also love animals. I have grown up being around horses and having multiple dogs and cats. My dog recently passed away and my cat seems to miss her, but I have had experience caring for both since I was little. We even had a couple of stray cats and dogs that would come up to our house and beg to be loved on. I love all animals and try to love them all equally.
Trying and learning new things is something that makes me nervous at first, but always ends being something I will never regret. I like to try new foods and trying things I have never done before. Learning about math or language arts has never been my thing, but learning new things about everything else in the world gives me new knowledge and a glimpse of how something came to be.
