Introduction
My name is Opelo but you can call me Pearl it's my other name though it's not written on my Identity card. I’m 28 years old and I live in Sebina, a small town near Francistown, Botswana with my mother, sister, my 3 nephews, and my niece. I am an empathetic, patient, reliable, and approachable young lady with a good team spirit and a great sense of fun. I have more than 3 years of experience working as a care assistant and I strongly believe that my passion and sincere desire to help people make me the perfect candidate for care jobs. I hold a BA degree in Health Service Management, Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care Level 5, and a care certificate.
Having worked as a care assistant in more than three health facilities, I believe I have the skills and training needed to provide quality support, personal care, and companionship to clients. My experience includes but is not limited to record-keeping, providing personal care, grooming, phlebotomy, administrative duties, meal preparation, medication administration, taking vitals, observing patients and learning more about the problems they have, changing patient beds and cleaning up after patients and make sure the area is clean and sanitized. I have outstanding communication skills and the ability to help patients relax and stay calm during a time when many tend to panic. I love making a difference in someone’s life and providing exceptional care and support to others and I believe there is no better way to do this than working in the health care profession.
