Dear Host Family
I would love to become your next Au Pair because I love children and enjoy spending time with them. I am staying with my mother, my baby sister, 2 nephews and my niece. I have 4 sisters who leave in different towns due to work/school. I am the one taking care of my little nephews and niece. I get them ready for school everyday and walk my niece to the closest day care.
My name is Pearl I’m 25 years old and I live in Botswana. I finished my degree course: Bachelor of Arts in Healthcare Service Management. I also have an advanced certificate in HIV Counseling and testing which I did and completed this year (2019). I have always wanted to go abroad but now with your help, this dream could be come true. I’m happy that my family supporting me about this plan going abroad as au pair because they knew that there’s a lot of opportunities waiting for me there.
I would describe myself as caring, loving, friendly, trustworthy, helpful and positive girl. I’m a person with a strong-will and determination. In my spare time, I love listening any kind of music, watching movies, surfing in internet and make some drawing. I also love to sing and dance. I have experience taking care of kids ( from 1 year) as I have practical took care of my sister's kids as she was working away from home . I also baby sat my neighbours' kids during holidays whenever they go on vacations or outings . I enjoy drawing and painting as well going to the theatre and the cinema. I'm friendly person and like children and I am good with them. My hobbies are traveling, meeting new people,learning languages.
The reason I want to become an au pair is the total package that I get. During an au pair stay I will live in another country and have the chance to do lots of travelling there. I want to learn the language and really getting to know another country' s culture is definitely part of the deal, too. How, after all, I can experience more of another country's culture as well as sharing everyday life with a local family. I will also have the chance to meet new people and make friendsing an au pair will also help me to be independent and responsible as I won't be relying on my family or friends for survival. This chance will definitely help me grow as a person.
I can cook a little and I have no problem doing some housework for you and tidying for the children's toys etc.
I am prepared and I am well aware of the fact that being like a big sister for your children comes along with responsibilities for them and it will not always be just play and fun. My calm and patient personality will help me to master more difficult situations for instance when the kids are tired or don’t want to listen to me.
Living with me is really easy as I am not a demanding person. I do respect that the house is your house and that I have follow your house rules. If something works not quite as it should, I prefer to talk instead of ignoring things.
