Dear Future Host Family,

My name is Temidire, and I am a Psychology student from Nigeria currently completing my degree online. I would describe myself as warm, responsible, structured, open-minded, and family-oriented. I genuinely enjoy spending time with children, learning about different cultures, and gaining new experiences.

I would love to become an Au Pair because I see it as more than just travelling abroad. I want the opportunity to experience a new culture closely, improve myself personally, meet new people, and become part of a family. I think living with a host family allows for a much more meaningful cultural exchange than simply visiting a country as a tourist.

I believe I would be a good Au Pair because I am patient, caring, adaptable, disciplined, and willing to learn. I also have five younger siblings and volunteer in the children’s department at church.
I understand that caring for children requires responsibility, consistency, and kindness, and I take those things seriously. I also enjoy being around kids, answering questions (I know kids have a lot of those) and helping out where necessary.

As a Psychology student, I am especially interested in understanding people and supporting emotional wellbeing, which has helped me become a good listener and communicator. I am fluent in English, comfortable in multicultural environments, and excited to learn more about different lifestyles and traditions.

I hope to become not only someone who helps your family, but also someone your children feel comfortable and safe around.
