Dear Future Host Family,

My name is Temidire, and I am a Psychology student from Nigeria currently completing my degree online. I would describe myself as warm, responsible, structured, open-minded, and family-oriented. I genuinely enjoy spending time with children, learning about different cultures, and gaining new experiences.

I would love to become an Au Pair because I see it as more than just travelling abroad. I want the opportunity to experience a new culture closely, improve myself personally, meet new people, and become part of a family. I think living with a host family allows for a much more meaningful cultural exchange than simply visiting a country as a tourist.

I believe I would make a good babysitter and Au Pair because I truly love being around children. I have five younger siblings, so I am very used to helping care for children, being patient, answering endless questions, and helping with daily routines. I also volunteer in the children’s department at church, which has helped me become even more responsible, caring, and adaptable around kids of different ages.

I understand that caring for children requires consistency, kindness, responsibility, and emotional awareness, and I take those things seriously. I enjoy creating a warm and comfortable environment where children feel safe, supported, and free to be themselves. I also enjoy cooking and helping around the house where necessary.

As a Psychology student, I am especially interested in understanding people and supporting emotional wellbeing, which has helped me become a good listener and communicator. I am fluent in English, comfortable in multicultural environments, and excited to learn more about different lifestyles and traditions.

I hope to become not only someone who helps your family, but also someone your children feel comfortable and happy around.
