I am a qualified and experienced native English speaking South African teacher, with loads of experience and highly qualified in working with children, and loves to travel and experience new cultures. Therefore, seeking an opportunity to enhance my educational experiences and expand my horizons, whilst doing something I love. I am a naturally happy person with high, but realistic expectations.
Coming from South Africa with its diverse economic backgrounds, multiculturalism and multilingualism, makes me flexible and respectful to other beliefs, values and culture. And believe you me, we have 11 official languages, so that in itself says something.

I am honest, trustworthy and reliable, therefore your child/children will in the care of a capable and loyal person. All parents love their little angels, which of course they are, and so are mine. In your absence your child/children are mine and I will do whatever it takes to protect them. One of my best traits is resilience, therefore able to meet or overcome challenges, which makes me a positive risk taker.
My passion for learning inspires me to positively motivate children to do their best, to their optimum level to achieve not only their learning goals, but in all other aspects relative in their childhood. I positively motivate and instil a positive attitude in anything they have to do. Once this is achieved, the best of your child comes out.
I am reflective and responsive, therefore sensitive to the needs of your child/children. I am approachable, thus able to build a positive rapport with your child/children, enabling them to share their feelings and thoughts with me. My sensitivity enables me to get a feeling of their mood or feelings, and I positively probe into their inner feelings, especially if it's negative.
Children need to be rewarded for their good behaviour, attitudes and deeds, motivating them to work towards expected goals (parents and mine). They love being show cased for their good work, and this is one of my traits. Strongly committed to ensuring your child/children reaches their optimum potential in everything you the parents expect, as no child of mine is left behind. I am immensely excited and happy, when I note positive development and progress.
Last but most importantly, is my relationship with you the parents. I am a candid person and open to constructive criticism, as I need to learn as well, as to what you expect from me. Especially if it's a culture I am not familiar with.
Open communication is the key to building a good rapport with you, the parents. Of course should I secure a position with you and your family, the job description will be discussed in-depth, so I know what is expected from me.
On a lighter note, we are different beings, so there may be nitty gritty issues (as my relationship with children will never be disagreements or conflicts). I am certain and appreciative if the matter is discussed as soon as possible, and an amicable solution is found.
Initially, as in most instances, there may or may not be issues. Children also need to get used to their new nanny and may have complaints. You are their parents, and as your employee once again, I am mature and expect you to discuss the issues.
