Introduction
Dear family host my name is Tumelo, Micheal but my friends and family call me Tumi. I live in Johannesburg in a small town called Springs a piece full place in South Africa
I know being an AuPair as a male can be found weird & scarcely or even not trustworthy but I’m more of a open minded, Hardworking ,easy going, dedicated, trustworthy, Helpful, patient & responsible person. I love taking care of children & their health, safety and happiness are most important to me
I currently work for a Ma’am who is a schoolteacher in our big city as live out . Looking after her great kids, 1boy who’s 10years old & two twins who are a boy & girl both 8 years old.Its been 3+ years now and I’ve been nothing but their big brother , contact person & a model. Blending in very easily with the family, exchanging cultures and definitely making memories. My duties are always as follows.
• Developing & implementing age appropriate activities to engage children and stimulate physical, mental & emotional development
•Utilizing positive reinforcement techniques to encourage children to develop new skills and build self esteem
•Cook nutritious meals & snacks for children in accordance with their dietary restrictions
•Developing & maintaining effective communication with parents providing daily reports on child activities, behavior & development
•Planning & supervising recreational activities such as games, outings to provide entertainment & physical activity
•Organizing time to & from school activities, appointments & other engagements
•Helping kids with day after care doing homework’s, projects as well as preparing for their exams & assessment , studying everyday.
•And also helping with bathing, school uniform and other engagements in the morning
I would describe my strengths as a AuPair as the ability to bond really well with kids & also blending in very easily & as a results being able to be a mentor of life & also being their big brother , also the ability to learn from my mistakes.On the other hand I would describe my weakness as AuPair is that I find it’s really hard to let go of something or someone Becca I get to attached to children especially &!its becomes emotional hard to detach from them
Kind warm regards about my work experience I would highly appreciate to discuss how I might fit within the family & I believe bringing my work experience abroad to learn new cultures and language in a new environment first hand is a opportunity to develop personal growth & professional work experience
