Dear future host families,

Being an au pair would be a great opportunity for me, not only because it would allow me to gain more experience and knowledge about other cultures, but also because it would open a new perspective and a new chapter in my life. I see this experience as an interesting and meaningful start. I enjoy adventure and discovering new things, and becoming an au pair feels like a real exploration for me.In my free time, I enjoy reading, watching anime or movies, baking, sewing, and cooking. These hobbies are very important to me and are also things I would be happy to share with children. I especially enjoy cooking, whether for everyday meals, breakfasts, or children’s snacks, and I love learning new recipes and trying them out. What I enjoy the most is the satisfaction of cooking something appreciated by others, which makes me feel proud. I also enjoy sports such as swimming, which is my favorite, as well as basketball and volleyball.I am often described as an understanding person, and I believe this quality is very important when taking care of children. I have also been used to doing light housework from a young age, as it was a shared responsibility between my sibling and me at home, which I believe will be helpful during my stay.

I would be happy to take care of children between 4 and 12 years old, as I believe we can build a strong relationship during my time with your family. I will always try to fulfill what needs to be done without being too invasive in your life, while still being present enough to take good care of the children. Even though I hope to create a solid connection with the family, I also believe that having some spare time occasionally is important for adaptation and balance, so that peace, comfort, and mutual respect can be maintained.I am originally from Madagascar, more precisely from the capital, Antananarivo. I live about 10–15 miles away from the city, in an area that can be considered the countryside. I currently live with my mother and my older brother. We also have eight cats, whom I love very much, and we take good care of them together.

I am not someone who is extremely outgoing, and I prefer having a small circle of close friends rather than many superficial relationships. What I seek in any relationship—family, friendship, or this future exchange—is a strong and meaningful bond based on trust, respect, affection, and feeling at ease with one another. I am also quite talkative, even though I am not always very good at socializing, which is a bit contradictory but part of who I am.

I am someone who loves learning and discovering new things. When I have something in mind, I am determined and perseverant until I achieve it, even if this sometimes shows a certain stubbornness. I can be indecisive, as I often see several perspectives when making decisions, but I am aware of this and am working step by step to become more decisive. I would describe myself as responsible and trustworthy, and when it comes to my duties, I always try my best not to fail.Even though I may lack experience and may not always be as efficient as I wish, I will always do my best to be a decent, caring, and trustworthy au pair. I am motivated, willing to learn, and committed to making this experience positive and respectful for both your family and myself.
