Hello, my name is Maurin and I am from Nairobi, Kenya. I come from a family of three siblings, and I am the eldest of two boys. I pursued a degree in finance with the intention of utilizing my skills in the field in the near future. Currently, I work remotely as a virtual assistant for a company based in the United States. I am fluent in English and have a basic understanding of French.
I have chosen to participate in the au pair program for a variety of reasons, one of which is my deep affection for children. I have found that children are naturally drawn to me, and I thoroughly enjoy interacting with them. As the eldest sibling, I have the responsibility of caring for my 9-year-old brother. Moreover, I have actively participated in volunteer programs at orphanages, where I dedicated my time to helping and engaging with the children. The opportunity to spend time with children has always been something I cherish. During my high school years, I gained a reputation as a reliable and caring babysitter, which has significantly contributed to my experience in caring for and nurturing children.
My curiosity to know more about other cultures has made me want to become an au pair. I'm always ready to learn and experience new things. I get to share my culture and explain our beliefs. So far, I have learned different languages of different tribes in our country, and now I want to explore outside my country.
I consider myself to be an open-minded and talkative individual who finds it easy to engage in conversations with others. I have a deep passion for traveling and I am known for being outgoing. In my free time, I take great pleasure in immersing myself in novels and expressing myself through dance. Attending dance classes every weekend has become a regular and cherished part of my routine. I have an insatiable curiosity and a strong desire to explore and learn new things constantly.
