My name is Sharon. I have lived and worked in the UK for the past 1 year after frequently visiting since 2020. Due to a major change in my life, I will be moving back to my home country (Kenya) in 2024 to start over again.

I'm 25 years old and I'm a college graduate so don't worry, I will tackle your kid's homework! I have a huge fondness for kids even though I might never have any. I will be having a full UK driving licence by 2024 if I'm still in the UK. I'm looking for a host family to give me a little stability (mentally & physically) as I also help them raise their young family. Probably a single mum, because I know that single moms need all the grace and support they can get when raising their children.

My mom is an early childhood teacher, this has really enabled me interact with children and learn to love and be patient with them. I also have a little sister, Tanny who is 7 years old. My sister was born when I was finishing high school, meaning I had all the time to take care of her, make her food, read her stories, take her to the park, play with her even try to braid her hair.
I love sports, I love the chilly afternoons watching football at the local stadium. I love supporting the women's football team in my small town and even hold a season's ticket. I enjoy outdoors, a little bit of hiking, games nights etc

Enough about me! Here is what I will bring to your family.
I understand that the cost of living is off the roof right now and many families are barely getting by so I will be understanding to any family's situation regarding finances and way of life. I will be patient with your kids because I understand that not all kids are the same. I will be respectful to family time and space and try as much as I can to make everyone feel comfortable at their home.

I'm a mix of introvert and extrovert. Most of my off days will probably be spent watching my favourite football team on tv or mindless scrolling on Tiktok. But I do love going to the park if I have great company. Your kids will be safe with me, I'm mature for my age so I'll probably be their second mom. I've faced a lot of adversity growing up so I hope I can be a good example to your children and enable them grow up to be great humans.

I have had the experience of taking care of my sister and my nephew from 0 months to 4+ years. I know how little children can be delicate and vulnerable. I understand that a lot of care is needed and high a level hygiene for the little ones to grow up healthy. I am willing to enroll in First Aid courses and currently undertaking one to help bring more safety to your home and to your kids.

Here is a list of some of my roles at your home:
-Getting your kids for school, early mornings, late nights.
-Making great healthy meals for your kids (I can make some nice chilli).
-Doing the school runs.
-Keeping your house tidy and neat always without being too hard on the kids.
-Taking your little ones to play groups, the park, movies any fun activity they wish to do.
-Helping with their homework.
-Reading them funny bedtime stories e.g. 'the dinasour that pooped the bed' (I could use with improving my own vocabulary too haha).
-Teaching them great values, kindness, empathy, respect, and confidence.
-And anything else your family would need.

The truth is, I'm not perfect but I try my best. Welcome me to your home and I promise you won't regret it.
