Thank you for taking a look at my profile! My name is Matilda and I am 18 years old from Australia. I have recently graduated high school and am looking for my next adventure.

I have worked the last 14 months as a qualified swim teacher in Melbourne Australia! I work with kids of all ages between 4 months old all the way to 17 years old. I love sharing things that I have learnt with other people. My passions and hobbies consist of reading, surfing, running, and playing Australian football. I have recently graduated from Year 12 and will be starting my double degree of Law and Psychological science in March of 2027. I aim to bring my conscientiousness and passion for teaching to your household, to better your children.

In saying this, I received a high score in high school english, as well as english being my native language and would love to teach your children my language. I also know German at a B1-B2 level.
I love animals. I have a British Bulldog called Sadie and an orange cat called Poppet. This means that wherever animals are, I feel at home. So don't be worried if you have a pet or two.

I love cooking and cleaning. I taught myself how to cook and bake when I was only 7 years old. I have a lot of yummy recipes up my sleeve that I am eager to share with you! As well of all of the crazy Australian snacks that we eat here!

My main reason for becoming an Au-Pair is to travel and gain work experience all in one. I have taken a gap year from university this year to live my life to the fullest and explore parts of the world that I haven't yet explored. I would love for you to be apart of my journey and make it unforgettable! I also just genuinely love working with children.

People often describe me as bubbly and very lighthearted. The children I teach tell me I am their favourite teacher because I am fun, kind and very encouraging. In my free time I love to camp, hike, surf, and go on runs. I am a bit of a bookworm. I never go anywhere without a book! My passion really lies within AFL, Australian Football. I have represented multiple teams in high levels and flown all over Australia to play AFL. I do also love swimming, which is why I love my job as a swim teacher so much.
