Introduction
My name is Aude, I’m 20 years old and have recently graduated as a psychomotor therapist!
As one chapter comes to a close, a new one begins!
For a long time, I’ve had the desire to improve my English by immersing myself in a new culture. I’m currently looking for a host family who could welcome me from September 2025 to early February 2026, to live this beautiful human adventure.
I have a basic knowledge of English, but I’m eager to learn and improve!
I’m naturally cheerful and full of energy. People often describe me as mature and lively. I’m someone you can count on—responsible, reliable, and committed. I enjoy meeting people, discovering new things, and learning from others.
About my family:
I’m the fifth of six children in a large, loving family that keeps growing with brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
I’ve been lucky to grow up in a warm and supportive environment that has deeply shaped my values and sense of community.
I’m also engaged and will be getting married in the summer of 2026, which will be the start of another big and beautiful adventure!
Education:
I recently graduated in psychomotor therapy. I completed my final year through an apprenticeship in a psychiatric hospital. This first professional experience gave me a deeper understanding of the working world and helped me grow in responsibility and maturity.
I hold the AFGSU 2 certificate, a French emergency first aid and care training.
I’ve also taken part in several adapted holiday camps, where I accompanied adults with disabilities as a group leader.
Having grown up in a family open to others and to difference—such as welcoming people with disabilities or asylum seekers—I’ve been able to develop a natural and confident relationship with people from all walks of life.
I’ve been involved in several volunteer projects, such as:
Outreach to the homeless
Helping an elderly person during the COVID lockdown
Scouts
Visiting elderly people in nursing homes
Supporting people preparing for baptism or confirmation
Interests:
I’ve been part of the Scouts since I was 6 years old. This has taught me the value of effort, responsibility, commitment, and teamwork. After 10 years as a scout myself, I’ve been a scout leader for the past 4 years, working with children aged 8 to 12.
I am a practicing Catholic. My faith and the values it brings are the foundation of my life.
I love spending time in nature—hiking, biking, being around animals. I enjoy sports, dancing, and singing. I also like cooking, sewing, and learning new skills. I played the violin for several years and would love to pick it back up. I’ve recently started learning piano and ukulele. I really enjoy laughing and spending time with others—playing board games, talking, and sharing life.
Childcare experience:
I’ve had many varied experiences in babysitting over the years.
I was a regular babysitter for several families and occasionally helped others. I’ve also done babysitting at weddings several times.
For longer-term experiences, I’ve been an au pair during school holidays on two occasions. During the COVID lockdown, I helped out a family with five children for an entire month.
Languages:
My native language is French. Unfortunately, that’s the only one I speak fluently at the moment—but I’m very motivated to change that, and I hope this experience will help me do so!
I really enjoy languages and would love to improve in this area.
I have basic knowledge of English and Italian, which I learned at school.
In summary:
I’m curious, open to others, and truly enjoy human connection and discovering new cultures. Always eager for a new challenge, I would love to become an au pair for a few months to grow as a person, improve my English, and share a meaningful experience with a host family.
If possible, I would love to take English classes during my free time or get involved in local volunteer work to improve my language skills!
I would be delighted to speak with you to share more about my motivations and learn about your expectations as well!
Warm regards,
Aude
