Thank you for taking the time to read my profile.
I am a very fun, caring, responsible and goofy person. I love riding my bike, doing yoga, reading, and spending time with friends and family. I am learning how to surf and although I seem to take in the whole ocean through my nose, I really dig it and have hopes to continue learning! I have a passion for the arts despite my lack of personal talent haha. Photography, dance, music, film, architecture, and plays are just a few of my favourites.
I love to put myself out of my comfort zone; exploring a new place, learning about a new culture, a new language, and meeting new people!
I'm looking to become someone your child can trust, respect, love and have fun with. I have very strong morals and values so I am confident in being a good role model. I'm someone your child will feel comfortable confiding in or cuddling with and also respect and listen to.
Babies, babies, babies! Can't get enough of them. They are a real challenge and I enjoy learning how they develop, physically and mentally. Working with babies from all over the world has opened my eyes to different foods, sleep methods, home remedies, etc. My last nanny job was with a little guy who's family is vegan. He ate better than anyone I knew! Kale and spinach purees, yam, quinoa...I loved making his baby food!
Not only have I been babysitting since I was 12 I volunteered in a nursery for two years prior. My first aupair/nanny position was in the Dominican Republic in 2010, since then I have worked in Calgary (Canada), Palermo (Italy), Vienna (Austria), Madrid (Spain) and my hometown of Victoria (Canada). All of the families that I have worked for have been completely different and I loved every experience! I have experience with newborns all the way up to 16 year olds. I am confident with all ages and personalities.
After my last nanny job, I spent 5 years working at a "Farm to Table" restaurant in my hometown as their full time bartender. It is essentially the same as working as an aupair, just bigger kids.
I now do waxing and laser hair removal which has been a wonderful adventure in itself. However, I am craving another aupair experience. I miss working with children, traveling and learning.
