My name is Hannah and I am one of four kids in a family that grew up in Southern California with Brazilian and Italian roots. I have two older sisters and we are all very close in age then, when I was nine years old my parents broke the news to us that we would be expecting another sibling... a baby brother. Naturally I took over the role of his big sister/caregiver/nanny/everything else which got me into nannying for family friends since a young age which then moved on to nannying as a job all throughout high school and even into college. In high school I watched triplets starting at age 3 and still to this day I watch them when I get the chance. In college I studied Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations and was able to study abroad in Lisbon, Portugal which opened my eyes to my passion for learning about other cultures. It was an amazing experience to be able to learn more about the country in which my ancestors came from and to practice speaking the Portuguese language. The reason why I want to become an Au Pair is first because of the passion I have for taking care of kids and the joy I get teaching them about life through my eyes and them teaching me through theirs. Secondly, I believe it would be a once in a lifetime experience to be able to work for a family from a different country to fully immerse myself in the culture. When I studied abroad I lived with a Portuguese family of 4 and we got along great. After I graduated from college this last June they invited me back to stay with them for a couple months, which I did, and it was just as amazing of an experience. I think I qualify for this position because I am hardworking and I have the passion and experience to successfully get the job done. I enjoy helping others and being there for people when they need me and pride myself of being dependable and honest.
