Dear Host Family,
thank you for taking the time to read my letter.
My name is Franka and on 31.03 i turned 20 years old. I graduated from High School on 25.03.2022. Befor becoming an au pair I used to live with my mother and one of my siblings and our dogs in Hundsangen, a small town in Rheinland-Pfalz in Germany.
My family has been hosting students from all over the world for years and my exchange to Colombia in 2017 showed me how great cultural exchange is and that I really enjoy exploring new people and countries. I'm still in contact with my host family and I'm very happy to have met them. During my exchange I was able to learn a lot and broaden my horizons. Also, I always enjoyed my jop as a babysitter (2000h), which is why I finally decided to do an au pair after school. I love spending time with children and making them happy. Taking care of them is a big responsibility and can sometimes be accompanied by difficulties, but at the end of the day the good experiences outweigh the bad. In August 2023 i started my first au pair year. And it was incredible. For sure there were tough times but the experience and memories i made make it worth it. Thats why i decided to to a second year as an au pair.
And that is why I am really looking forward to meeting my next host family and host children as well as their culture and hopefully having an exciting and wonderful time.
I hope to be able to share as much during my stay as I will surely learn from my host family. And I'm looking forward to becoming one year older together with my host children.
