Au Pair's Message to Families

My name is Yazmin and I am 18 years old, I already finished the high school, and I haven’t decided what career to study. I choose to go to the United States of America for a year with the purpose of work with children and to improve my English, also the desire to get more independent and know other places more. I live in Hermosillo Sonora Mexico with my family dad, mom, and my 2 sisters I am the second of the three sisters we are a family very united. Today that I have made my decision to go to the United States of America my mom and dad are offering all their support to me, since they consider that it will be a good experience for me. We belong to a catholic religion we were used to attend to the church every Sunday, also I will love to work with a family who belongs to the same religion, but if I don’t have that opportunity, I don’t have any problem. I like children so much, I identify myself with them. I have so much illusion to make this wish come true, going to the USA to work as an aupair, because time ago my friends and me talked about it and at this moment that we are doing the necessary paper work to be able to ask for a good family who accepts us like an Au Pair. I am going to miss a lot my family, my friends and my city but I know it will be worth it and I know that I am going to love every single day in the beautiful United States of America. I hope that this is going to be a very good experience in my life This are my favorites hobbies: I like so much to play flag football, I was in a team named YAKS I liked a lot that team let me know about what is the real mean of friends, we practice a lot values like friendship, solidarity, discipline, punctuality, responsibility, etc. Also I like to go to the movies, I like romantic movies, action movies, etc. I usually see movies like 1 time at the week, like go to the movies or watch them at home with my sisters or friends, sometimes with my father because is also to a hobby for he. I am very social, I have a lot of friends, we usually go to eat an ice cream, to the movies like I have said, and we have too much fun when we are together. I like the children that’s why I spend my free time taking care of them… The first one was Greyson I took care of him when he was 6 months I usually go in the mornings, cause I go to the school in the afternoon, he is the son of a neighbor is a lovely boy, at that age the babies are too cute, I take care by feeding him, of fruits or vegetables, sometimes I gave him Gerber, also I gave him the milk, I played a lot with him with so many different games, gave him a bath, change him and put him to bed, sometimes I had to pretend I was going to sleep because if not he wouldn’t sleeps, I take care of him until he was 9 months. Then I took care of Diana and Angelica, usually I go to their house the weekends. They were older that’s why the games and everything was different, they like so much to watch the TV, go to the park, I read them books, sometimes I helped them to do their homework, they study in a school that they had also the class of English so it was more homework, but they were so intelligent, they had a great skill, they also are cheerleaders in their school, and also they go to a dance class, they are very funny, sometimes I prepared them the food, such as soups… And for finish the last one was Carol and she is a greatest little girl. I learn a lot about her, she is so smart and quite, I take care of her, and together we do a lot of things; she likes to cook things that she invents that was so funny, we played with her toys, we watched TV, go to the park she loves that, sometimes we watch movies eating popcorns or playing what they like. I like to see her when I can because she is so important to me like the all the children that I know. I take care of children of neighbors or friends of my mom or my cousins, they are adorable.
