I worked for PAGCOR (Philippine Amusement & Gaming Corp.) from August 1997 to February 2005 as a Network Controller. PAGCOR is a government entity operating casinos and hotels in the country. After 8 years of employment, I resigned from work and had the opportunity to travel outside the country as a tourist in various countries. I had the chance to work with a Norwegian employer last 2006 but due to educational sponsorship offered to me, I went back to college again and took up Nursing . It was indeed a wise decision when I got back to college, I believe that nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm. When JOY and PERSEVERANCE is present, nothing is impossible with God. Serve with FAITH and He will direct our ways with a purpose. God alone is the author of a fulfilling life.. people and circumstances serving as His own instruments for us to put all matters into His own hands and time.

I took up Bachelor of Science in Nursing and has a general knowledge on healthcare. After careful weighing of things I deemed it best to apply as an healthcare provider or a PA to foreign families abroad. Why not make good on my profession as a healthcare provider and render my admin,mktg.,managerial skills to deserving families as my employer. I believe that every job is a self-portrait of the person who does it. Autograph a work with excellence and do best in every task given and the output is great. There are no small jobs. Only people who perceive them as small become small in doing them. The best things in life are NOT free. Working with foreign employer is a privilege and honour and when I give myself my loyalty to my work, I give the very BEST I have.

Do you understand the role of this position? Why do you think you will excel as a personal assistant?

Answer:
I thoroughly understand the role of a PA position. Being a PA is like an administrator who looks after a team and typically carries out administrative work and personal support tasks on behalf of one individual's or its team. A PA is also a manager who manages a set division in an organization. Its vital role is to free his/her manager's or employer's time from organizing and administrative tasks so that the employer  spends maximum time on strategic tasks. 

If given the opportunity to work as PA , to produce excellent work output is my utmost concern.
Having they key or ideal skills which are discretion and trustworthiness, flexibility and adaptability, being productive and resilient, organizational skills and the ability to multi-task, good oral and written communication skills with tact and diplomacy, problem solving skills with logical and intuitive reasoning, ability to make things happen and motivate others, knowledge of standard software packages and the ability to learn company- specific software if required, physical fitness, sound mind, good state of health and energy, excellent leadership skills with lots of patience, humility and propriety coupled with anger-management techniques, decision-making and good interpersonal skills to manage a division / team, can put me at par from the rest of the applicants.

What are the most important qualities to have as a personal assistant?

Answer:
Aside from the aforementioned important qualities of a personal assistant that I possessed, I believe that a PA has to exude a well-groomed radiance and disposition as part of her essential traits and attributes. A well-groomed person who knows how to care of self and has a youthful exuberance, hence focused in achieving goals, which she measures continuously to her appearance and performance in all aspects of self/job. With all humility, I am aware that I am able to attract attention in a delightfully modest way with an always encouraging humility, with a keen focus in team orientation and governance. 

Aside from physical features, a strong sense of duty, intelligence with responsibility, fun, wit, entertaining and playful open mind who’s reliable and dominant to lead a family, a team or a company is also a paramount requirement. Being honest and trustworthy who oozes self-confidence, inquisitiveness and is self-conscious of her actions is very important as well. Key performer at work, team or in organizations, handles work without emotional disappointments, easily bounce back from losses, mentally prepares herself for the next opportunity, fighting for her cause and unafraid in getting the tasks done are also among the important qualities of a personal assistant.
