Introduction
Although I have not worked as an au pair before, I have valuable experience caring for children. I worked in a daycare for two years, where I looked after children of different ages. My responsibilities included preparing meals, feeding younger children, helping with bathing and dressing, organizing educational and fun activities, reading stories, playing indoor and outdoor games, and ensuring the children were always safe and happy.
In addition to my childcare experience, I also cared for my grandmother for one year. This taught me patience, compassion, responsibility, and how to provide attentive care to someone who depends on me.
These experiences have prepared me well for life as an au pair. I am confident in creating a safe, loving, and supportive environment for children. I enjoy helping them learn, grow, and feel happy, and I look forward to becoming a trusted member of a host family while sharing my Kenyan culture and learning about a new culture.
