Hello Host Families!
My name is Yessa, and I am 22 years old from the Philippines. I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Social Work. I am excited to explore new opportunities, gain valuable work experience, and immerse myself in a different culture through a cultural exchange program.
A Little About Me
I would describe myself as a patient, caring, kind, and responsible person who enjoys spending time with children. I am dependable, hardworking, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively. I always strive to do my best and approach every responsibility with dedication and a positive attitude.

As a Social Work graduate, I have learned the importance of empathy, respect, communication, and understanding people from different backgrounds. My studies taught me how to support individuals and families, advocate for those in need, and build meaningful relationships based on trust and compassion. These experiences have helped me become more mature, understanding, and adaptable in different situations.
From 2024 to 2025, I volunteered in a program called KAMPARAISO, which supports children with disabilities. This experience allowed me to interact with children, assist with activities, and provide support in a caring and inclusive environment. It strengthened my patience, communication skills, and passion for helping others. Working with children and seeing their growth and happiness was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.

In addition to my volunteer experience, I have also helped care for my nieces and nephews, ranging in age from 1 to 8 years old. Through this experience, I assisted with feeding, bathing, playing, helping with daily routines, and ensuring their safety and well-being. Spending time with them has taught me patience, responsibility, and the importance of creating a positive and nurturing environment for children. I genuinely enjoy being around children, supporting their development, and helping them learn and grow through everyday activities.

In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, watching movies, spending time with family and friends, and learning new things. I also enjoy helping with household tasks and keeping my surroundings organized. I appreciate opportunities to meet new people, learn about different cultures, and share my own Filipino traditions and values.

I come from a family that values respect, kindness, and helping one another. These values have shaped who I am today and guide the way I interact with others. I believe that being part of a host family is not only about work but also about building genuine connections, sharing experiences, and creating lasting memories together.
