My name is Martine and I am an energetic young student from Canada looking for a live-in job in child-care, tutoring, pet-care, house-sitting, disabled-care or personal assistance. I am currently an au pair in Australia for a family with two kids ages 2.5 and 1.5 and have been with them for 11 months. I have three younger siblings whom I have taken care of and have babysat for numerous families. I have also worked in a number of classrooms as a volunteer or for practicum experience. I love caring for children and consider myself a positive role model. I have played college-level basketball and have grasped the concepts of commitment, family, discipline, and accountability. I have had numerous pets including birds, dogs, cats, and fish and have cared for horses, sheep, and hamsters as well. I have worked in a nursing home for almost 3 years and love interacting with people! I’m hygienic and enjoy cleaning and have worked successfully in a variety of environments.
I have my First Aid Level C and AED Certificates and am a great swimmer. I am not one to panic in dangerous situations and I show confidence in my abilities.
I am athletic, intelligent, and healthy. I have played numerous sports including basketball, volleyball, badminton, soccer, and competitive swimming. I have a small tattoo on the back of my ankle of the Michael Jordan logo because of the love I have for the game of basketball. In college I have taken various classes including education, team management, and psychology courses. I fluently speak Dutch and English and know some French. I value education and am always willing to help someone reach their educational goals. I eat healthy and have a strong immune system so I rarely get sick. I am extremely responsible, hard working, and accountable and am not scared to identify and improve my faults.
I am strongly rooted in the Christian faith and consider myself a caring, considerate, and loving person because of this. I love making people happy and helping out whenever I can!
I am flexible in terms of hours, wage, and extra assistance. I am open to job opportunities and will make the best out of any given situation! :)
