Dear Host family,
First of all, I would like to thank you for taking the time to read my letter. I hope you find it satisfactory. My name is Winfred, but my friends and family call me Winnie.

I am an open-minded, hard-working, easy-going, friendly, trustworthy, helpful, patient, and responsible person. I love taking care of children their health, safety, and happiness are the most important to me. I am also a playful person which is why I get along greatly with children, especially outdoor sports. I am responsible and know when to get serious and be mindful. I have also been praised for having great instincts which has helped me make great judgements.

I come from a very close family where we are all intertwined in each other’s lives. If someone has errands to run, we are always there to look after the children and the parent always knows that the child is safe. I have grown up around very many cousins mostly younger which has really helped me learn how to interact with children and play with them.
I believe that cultural exchange is a two-way street. Just as I am excited to share my culture and traditions with your family, I am equally eager to learn about yours. I am open to embracing new experiences, trying new foods, and participating in family traditions and activities. I am confident that we can learn from one another and build a strong bond during my time as part of your family. I am currently learning Spanish and French on Duolingo and look forward to adding more languages to my roaster.
As an au pair, I am not only eager to assist with childcare but also to contribute to the household by helping with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and any other tasks that make life easier for your family. I am a responsible and organized individual who takes pride in maintaining a tidy and welcoming home environment.
In 2020/2021 when Covid first hit my cousin had just had a baby and being a single mother, I decided to move in with her and help her. This was a challenging time for both of us during lockdown as it was for many other parents around the world. We both took turns during the night to wake up and take care of the baby till morning. This was my most hands-on experience in taking care of a child full-time and I loved every minute of it.
I am currently looking for a live-in arrangement with my host family for a duration of 12 months to 24 months.
