I live in the US and need someone to help care for my 86 year old mother, who lives by herself in the Tangerang area. Ideally this caretaker is like a personal assistant, as my mother is mostly capable of doing things herself. She needs company. She is not physically handicapped, but she needs to lean on someone when she goes out. She has dogs and cats she feeds and brushes herself. My mother has onset dementia and forgets a lot and loses keys and other things.
Care provider should be able to:
- be a companion to my mother and have daily conversations with her. She speaks Dutch, Javanese, Bahasa and English
- MUST like pets. She has 3 dogs and 10 cats
- take initiative
- help with keeping her personal items safe
- keep track where she leaves things
- drive her to the store, vet, doctor
- accompany her into the stores, doctors
- call her family if necessary
Preferably have some experience with dementia. My mother is forgetful and repeats a lot, also gets frustrated and upset when she is confused. This is difficult because she may get angry.
