First and foremost, we are looking for a companion for Mom. She loves people and interacting with others, and we are looking for a kindred spirit there. She likes playing cards, watching shows like Jeopardy and Shark Tank, receiving visitors, and talking on just about any subject. And she loves calls from her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids . . . along with visits which don't happen as often as she might wish, since her family is scattered around the country.

Mom does need help with ADLs, including meal prep, hygiene/bathing, toileting/incontinence, and mobility (she gets around with a walker, but someone to be nearby). We have a car there for use by the care provider, who would need it for taking Mom to appointments and running errands. Basic housekeeping like laundry, dishes, making beds, etc. would be involved, but we do have a person who comes to fully clean the house every two weeks. Her cell phone is her primary link most of the time to family, and the technology can throw her off, so someone with the ability to help her through that is a big plus!

Mom usually wakes up around 7:30-8:00 a.m. and heads for bed around 10:00 p.m., but that can be earlier or later depending on the evening. She lives alone in a beautiful farmhouse on a hill, overlooking hills and a lake. She's got a miniature schnauzer who loves attention and will always let you know when the UPS driver pulls in the driveway.

We are looking for someone to become part of the family, keeping Mom safe and well and mentally stimulated.

Assuming we find the right match, this would hopefully be an extended assignment. And we recognize that live-ins need a break, so, while I checked off every box in terms of days/times needed, we would work with the interested individual to discuss time-off needed and alternate coverage during those times.
