Sweet natured mother approaching 90 years old. Lived independently until last week when she fell and broke her shoulder. She has advancing dementia but seems to do best at our house where there is a lot of activity. We live on 5 acres in the suburbs of Portland, Oregon. Private home with pool and other desirable amenities. We have three dogs and three cats--mom also has one cat so that makes four. We have a very busy household. A qualified candidate would have her own bedroom and a shared bathroom (either with mom or other). Some driving necessary and a car could be made available for candidate's use outside of tasks as approved.

My husband and I both work from home so we would be available but need someone to keep her busy, diverted, and safe. She is an accomplished artist and I'd like to see her get back to that. She loves to make puzzles and to play cards. A successful candidate will be treated as part of our family--my kids had au pairs growing up so we know the drill. Primary responsibility will be my mom but help with housework, cooking, etc. will be appreciated.
