We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced au pair to assist a senior female recovering from a stroke. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive support for activities of daily living and facilitate her recovery process. This position requires the au pair to be available for travel with the family to various events.
Responsibilities:
Personal Care:
Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other hygiene-related activities.
Support with feeding and ensuring dietary needs are met.
Medical and Therapy Assistance:
Accompany to and assist during physical, occupational, and speech therapy sessions.
Daily Living Assistance:
Prepare and serve meals in accordance with dietary requirements.
Help with mobility and ensure safe transfer from bed to wheelchair and vice versa.
Housekeeping:
Maintain a clean and organized living environment.
Perform light housekeeping duties related to the senior's personal space.
Companionship and Emotional Support:
Provide companionship and engage in meaningful conversations.
Encourage participation in hobbies and social activities to prevent isolation.
Travel Assistance:
Travel with the family to various events and appointments.
Ensure all necessary items (medications, mobility aids, etc.) are prepared and transported.
