I am looking for a full-time live-in position and I am available immediately.
I am an educated, polite and well-mannered person with a wealth of life experience. I am hardworking, reliable and discreet.
I have over 5 years nursing/caring experience in UK hospitals and nursing homes for the elderly, from which I have gained immense medical experience.
I have also been a full-time live-in carer.
My experience includes working in A&E, and on medical, surgical, oncology and orthopedic wards, as well as on secure mental health wards.
I assisted with personal hygiene, eating and drinking, pressure relief, palliative care, applying dressings, taking observations, checking blood sugar levels, doing ECGs, catheter care and anything else required.
I have taken care of many elderly patients, some with dementia, some bedridden, and some with speech and movement problems after strokes.
I also took care of my grandfather for 2 years when his mobility became more limited, doing his shopping and cleaning, and also chatting a lot!
I enjoy looking after people because that is my nature, because I hope to improve the quality of people’s lives regardless of their age, illness or disability, and because they deserve to have the best care and respect that I would want my own family to have.
I also have several years experience as a live-in housekeeper, involving childcare, cooking, cleaning, laundry and ironing, shopping, running errands, and much more!
I speak French and German, and have a limited knowledge of Spanish and Italian.
I can drive manual and automatic, left and right hand drive cars.
