I worked as a social care assistant going into vulnerable people's houses who needed assistant with tasks such as personal care showering, washing help around there house hold. Sometimes the client needed full care for example to be able to move from bed to chair. As part of my role was to help with tasks such as shopping and cleaning chores around the house other tasks in my role involved been there as part of emotional support for clients with mental health issues such as depression part of my role was to be there for them and try and be encouraging even in the most smallest way such as getting out of bed or just been there as an ear to talk to someone they can turn to.

I worked as a social care assistant when I first started working in the care home my role was to care for the elderly residents that lived there some residents had more needs then others as the home had residents different needs and vunrabilties. In the home we had residents with varying needs ranging from simple personal care to moving and handling using specific equipment for the individuals needs such as standing hoist, turn table ect. When I was in the care home I took my NVQ qualifications in social care level 1 and 2 this was in house training with a qualified outside company but I could train while working I had to complete studies and coursework as well as practical assessments. As well as this I also completed in house training such as moving and handling, Safe handling and dispensing of medication, C.O.S.H training, First Aid. I also took special courses for dementia and Alzheimer's and Mental health training. While working in the care home I was promoted to a Senior care assistant part of my roles as a senior where that I was in charge of the shifts that I was on which ment the running and allocation of staff to residents also if there where any problems or an emergency I was in charge of the situation and had to make sure that everything was delt with correctly and calmly and that everything was documented and all the correct people where informed.

My job role was a senior care assistant, this ment my tasks included personal care as well as handling of medication. In this home the majority of our patients had dementia and Alzheimer's and people who had disabilities and our clients had varying ages this was where I had a lot of my hands on trying with people with learning disabilities I enjoyed this roles as it was very hands on trying to help keep situations calm and trying to solve issues with clients in the best way for the individual trying to make sure all there needs where met and try to the best of my ability to make sure they where physical and mentally cared for. I completed my N. V. Q 3 at work by on outside company who came in a set course work and then practical assessments thought the course. I also took courses on stroke patients in house and furthered my knollage on dementia and Alzheimer's.

I worked as a cleaner for a doctors surgary. I used to clean two hours in the morning and 4 hours in the evening as the clinic was closing. My duties where to clean every office in the clinic making sure everything was disinfected and hygienicly clean. Also I had to clean all the doctors rooms naking sure everything was sterile in the morning before the clinic opened and again on the evening making sure everything was disaffected and sterile all the beds, surfaces where all wiped down.

I worked for a family privately when I moved to Mallorca as a housekeeper. My duties where to keep the running of the household to a very high standard. I cleaned the large villa every day from top to bottom making sure everything was emaculate. I used to clean all the rooms and bathrooms to a very high standard, also I had to take care of the linen and ironing.

Angels care and babysitting company

I worked for angels as a care assistant and a babysitter going in to people's homes either to help care for there child and look after them or going in to vulnerable patients house to give them home care so that they are able to stay in the own comfort of there home. I have had to look after patients that have terminal illness such as cancer and I have been there to care for them and look after them as there needs change as there illness progress been there for the patient for them as emotional support and physical. I also care for the elderly to help and support with personal care and tasks such as shopping and cooking and general care. As well as looking after patients though the night assisting them with the bathroom or just staying with them through the night so they have support if they need.
