I possess one year of professional experience as a caregiver for the elderly. During this time, I provided assistance to a client who underwent surgery for a hip fracture. My duties included helping her transition between bed and wheelchair, ensuring she took her medications as prescribed by her doctor, aiding her with bathing and dressing, supporting her through physical therapy sessions, and monitoring vital signs such as blood pressure, breathing rate, pulse rate, and temperature. Additionally, I assisted with feeding.
Currently, I am also caring for my grandmother who is battling skin cancer. In this role, I assist her with medication management, meal preparation, bathing and dressing, wound care, and laundry tasks, ensuring she receives the comprehensive support she needs during this challenging time.
In addition to my experience with elderly care, I also have a background in childcare. I have a cousin who has been experiencing seizures since childhood, and I have been involved in her care over the years. Furthermore, I have a 2-year-old nephew whom I frequently look after, assisting with tasks such as bathing, dressing, milk feeding, and meal preparation. Additionally, I am fond of pets and enjoy caring for them as well.
