Introduction
I started caring after my granny who was a dementia patient , that’s how all started , she was living with us so since my early teenage period I got to know about this conditions.
Then later I joined an care agency in the uk and worked there as carer from 2021 jan, it was a domicillary job, visiting home to home of clients for 3/4 times a day,to transfer clients from bed to chair sometimes on the commode, assisted with personal care, changing diapers or helping with toileting, feeding if needed, meal preparation, medication administration, providing emotional support and companionship, going for walk and shopping for the clients who had dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, stroke , depression, anxiety, cancer , etc. I also used to do 6/8/12 hours shift and sometimes live in care for several months.
I got promoted as senior caregiver around 2022 feb and I got chance to work with complex care team and lead it for 1.5 years , it includes cerebral palsy, epilepsy, scoliosis ,non -verbal and partially blind vision ,Peg feeding, administration of buccal midazolam . The trainings were all provided by the agency , I also hold a care certificate for adults and other mandatory certifications.
