Introduction
Since I was little, I’ve had a deep love for animals. I grew up surrounded by them, and each one left a special mark on my life. Max came to us in 2001; he was already an older dog when we adopted him, and he lived ten wonderful years full of love. Then came Tommy, the most special dog in the world—calm, obedient, and so smart he would bring you his leash to let you know he wanted to go out. He was a true gentleman and lived fourteen years with us. Then there was Punky, his inseparable companion. Although she was mine, she adored my mom and followed her everywhere. She lived seventeen and a half years and gave us a long life full of love. Punky had a son Lucky who, although he didn’t live long due to medical complications, was deeply loved every single day he was with us. Finally, we adopted a cat (Sony) who was very grumpy and always seemed to be in a bad mood. He never wanted to live inside the house, but he would lie down at the front door and rest there until he also passed away from old age. All of these experiences taught me that a pet is not just an animal, they are family. That’s why I can confidently say I will care for other people’s animals as if they were my own: with patience, respect, responsibility, and above all, with true love.
