A reliable, French-speaking assistant is required in Langebaan to provide ongoing support and standby assistance to a young French-speaking foreign national who is currently pregnant and living alone.

The successful applicant must live in or near Langebaan, be fluent in French, possess a valid driver's licence, and have access to a reliable vehicle. The role involves serving as a local point of contact, providing practical assistance as needed, helping with transport arrangements, accompanying the client to appointments if required, assisting in emergencies, and offering general support throughout pregnancy and early motherhood.

Applicants should be compassionate, dependable, discreet, emotionally mature, and comfortable being on call when circumstances require urgent assistance. Previous experience in caregiving, personal assistance, maternity support, healthcare, hospitality, community services, or working with expatriates will be advantageous but is not essential.

The position is offered on a standby and call-out basis from the present time until November 2026. Compensation will include a monthly retainer together with agreed reimbursement for call-outs, travel, and support services provided.
