Dear host family,
My name is Twiza. I am a 29 years old girl and I live in Ndola city. Which is a capital of copperbelt province greatly known for its industrial and commercial activities in Zambia, a beautiful country in Africa.
I am an open-minded, hard-working, easy-going, dedicated, trustworthy, helpful and understand the importance of adhering to schedules and routines, and I am also able to handle unexpected situations with calm and problem-solving skills.
I am a positive and patient individual, who is able to communicate effectively with children and their parents.
I come from a family of 5, being the firstborn child grants me great responsibility to take care of my younger siblings, I am a mother to one cheerful young boy. My family all live within a 3 mile radius of each other, therefore, we get to see each other a lot! My father runs a business whilst my mother has a great passion of agriculture which mostly grows crops for home consumption.I am part of a very close family. I
cherish and value my friendships, hence, my close inner circle of friend is also often viewed as ‘family’.
I recently graduated from The University of Zambia, with a Bachelor of Education in Special Education and civic education studies. Which usually comes in handy to help out children with special needs. In such a way of improving their social and communication skills.
I consider myself as diverse individual and adventurous, I love learning new languages and different cultures, travelling which enables me to meeting new people, and definitely making memories. My very calm, collected, patient, and quick learning skills always comes in handy when dealing with challenging situations.
I love taking care of kids and their
health, safety, and happiness are the
most important to me.Therefore, I would describe it as my great strength as an Aupair my passion for kids helps me to bond really well with them and also blending in is very easily which results in me being able to be their mentor in different aspects of life and also be like their big sister. However, been trained as a special educator has helped me to be empathetic, compassionate and an active listener, as a result it gives me a hard time letting go of something or someone because I get too attached to children and hence becomes emotionally hard to detach from them. Which I would describe as my weakness as an Aupair.
I am looking for a long time stay with my host family, for one 1year or more depending on the connection formed with the family. And hoping to find a host family, that would be happy to have me as part of the family, be kind, welcoming and who
are willing to learn new culture and
language.
