Dear Host Family,
My name is Candy, and I'm writing to you all the way from Tanzania.
I'm 23 years old, a university graduate, and someone who truly believes that being kind, present, and gentle with children is one of the most important things you can be in life truly. I've been caring for three amazing kids on my own for while now. Handling school prep, meals, playtime, cuddles after bad dreams, and everything in between. They've taught me patience, creativity, and how to love unconditionally, and I'm so grateful for the bond we share. It's from them that I've learned that taking care of children isn't just about watching over them but also about truly being there for them.
I do not have a degree in childhood education but my real life experiences are rich, and I approach everyday with joy and a desire to grow. I sing silly songs, invent bedtime stories, help with homework, and create little adventures from ordinary days. I believe in kindness, in speaking gently, and in building trust with children so they feel safe, seen, and loved.
I would love the opportunity to bring that same energy into your home and not just as an au pair, but as someone who becomes like family. I'm here to be your support, your teammate , and someone your children can count on every single day.
I'm also excited to learn your language, your culture, and everything that makes your family unique. I believe being an au pair is a beautiful exchange: while I care for your children and help in any way I can, I also get the chance to grow into better version of myself, more open, more worldly, more compassionate.
I speak fluent English and Swahili, and I have just recently completed driving school and obtained my driver's license. I'm a very tidy person, responsible, respectful of house rules, and most of all a very loving person. Whether it's helping with morning routines, organizing playdates, preparing simple meals, or just being there for your children to run to, I am all in.
Since I've never had the chance to travel abroad, this would be my very first journey and I'm so eager and hopeful to experience life beyond my home country.
I hope to find a family that values communication, kindness, and honesty. I'd love to feel like a part of the team, like someone you trust not just with tasks, but with the beautiful little humans you've raised. I'm flexible about location and I'll go wherever love, growth and good energy is.
