My name is Sofia and I am originally from Recco, Liguria, Italy. I am currently living in The Netherlands for my undergraduate studies. I study aerospace engineering at University.

My life is filled with many passions and interests.
While my academic endeavors have driven me to explore the complexities of science, I find equal fulfillment in the world of arts, languages, and literature.
Outside of my studies I love reading, writing, drawing, playing volleyball, and bouldering. Exploration is a central theme in my life. Whether it is traveling to new countries or simply exploring the local surroundings, I find immense joy in discovering new cultures and landscapes. Additionally, I have a deep appreciation for art and regularly visit museums and exhibitions to broaden my artistic horizons. I also love languages and I love learning them. I am fluent in Italian (my native language), and English (I was C1 level four years ago so by now I have reached a higher level). I also studied Spanish (level B2) and Russian (level A2) for five years in highschool. I see language as a bridge that connects people and cultures, facilitating meaningful connections and understanding.

Last summer, I had the pleasure of immersing myself in the enchanting city of Seoul for a month, where I discovered the richness of Korean cuisine and traditions. This experience ignited a desire within me to deepen my understanding of Korean culture by forming meaningful connections with local families.
