Dear Future Host Family,

Hello! My name is Evelina, I am 17 years old, and I am from Latvia. I am an open-minded, creative, and social person who loves learning new skills, meeting new people, and exploring different cultures. I have always enjoyed spending time with children, and over the years this has become something I truly love and want to continue developing through the Au Pair and Nanny experience.

I want to become an Au Pair because I believe it is a unique opportunity to grow as a person, experience everyday life in another country, learn a new language, and become a part of another family’s culture. I would love to share my own culture, traditions, and experiences while also learning about yours. I have always been interested in cultural exchange, and through my family, travels, Erasmus+ projects, and youth organizations, I have learned how valuable it is to understand different ways of living.

I have experience working with children of different ages. Since I was 13, I have helped take care of my younger cousins, who were 3, 8, and 9 years old. Later, I started working at a children’s and youth summer camp, where I have been involved for 3 years. During the camps, I am responsible for groups of children, mostly between 5 and 10 years old, while also working with older children during activities. This experience has taught me patience, responsibility, creativity, and how to communicate with children with different personalities and needs.

Besides childcare, I am active in different youth organizations and volunteer activities, where I have gained experience in organizing activities, communicating with young people, and working with different groups. I am also involved with Riga’s Student Parliament and different youth initiatives, which have helped me develop leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

I believe I could bring a lot of positive energy to your family. I am creative and always try to find new ways to make activities fun and educational. One of my hobbies is circus — I have been practicing for more than 5 years, including juggling, acrobatics, aerial gymnastics, and unicycling. Juggling is also something I enjoy teaching to children because it helps develop coordination and confidence. I have also helped children learn different school subjects, including mathematics, Latvian, English, chemistry, history, and theatre-related activities.

Communication is one of my strongest qualities. I speak Latvian, Russian, and English fluently, and I enjoy learning languages. I would love to improve my Norwegian, German, and Spanish, as well as continue learning Italian and French. I believe languages are one of the best ways to connect with people and understand their culture better.

My life has always been connected with creativity and activity. I sing in a professional choir, love theatre, and have participated in different cultural activities, including being part of the youth jury for the Latvian theatre award ceremony “Spelmanu nakts”. I also enjoy sports and challenges — I have played volleyball for more than 4 years and have tried many other activities, including basketball, swimming, tennis, judo, and more.

I am responsible for my own daily life, as I live independently and manage my own household tasks. I am used to being organized and taking responsibility. At the same time, I am still eager to learn and improve, and I believe living with a host family would teach me many new things.

I hope to find a kind and open family where I can become not only a helper but also a positive part of your everyday life. I would love to support your children, share my experiences with them, and create meaningful memories together.
