Dear Families,

My name is Simona, I am 27 years old and originally from San Andrés, Colombia, now a proud Costa Rican citizen. I live on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica with my family and pets, just a few meters from the beach. Surrounded by nature, I have learned to live with joy, energy, and an open heart.

I am passionate about teaching, traveling, sport, learning new cultures and languages, and of course, caring for children. Since I was very young, I have been involved with childcare. I started helping acquaintances with their children and, at 15, began volunteering at a local school. In 2014, I officially started working as an educator. Over the years, I have cared for and taught children from ages 2 to 14, with a particular focus on children between 4 and 12.

My background includes both independent tutoring and experience in alternative schools, where I was responsible for all activities—from basic subjects to music (flute and piano), crafts, sports, and even cooking. I also hold a First Aid and CPR certificate (2024). In addition, I have studied Hospitality Management, General Studies at UNED, and several independent courses in alternative pedagogies such as Waldorf and Montessori.

Families often describe me as patient, caring, creative, responsible, and trustworthy. I enjoy inventing games, supporting children’s emotional development, and encouraging independence in a safe and loving environment. My approach combines fun with structure, always keeping children’s well-being and happiness at the center.

Language skills are another strength I bring: I am a native Spanish speaker, fluent in English (C1), and currently studying German (B1), with the intention of continuing to an advanced level. I believe that living abroad with a host family would give me the perfect opportunity to improve my lenguage skills while sharing my culture and experience.

At this stage in my life, I am looking for a Nanny role, where my years of experience and maturity can be best applied. I am open to live-in arrangements (with a personal space), flexible with routines, and ready to adapt to the needs of your family.
I also love animals and would be delighted to take care of your beloved companions.
