First of all I would like to introduce myself so that you can get to know me a little better.
My name is Angie Verónica Barrera Godoy, I am 23 years old, I was born in Colombia, I live in its capital Bogotá, I live at home with my mother Marcela, she has 39 years old, my stepfather Juan, he has 43 years old, my sister Lauren that she has 19 years old, and my brother Michael that he has 17 years old. A special relationship, above all, with my siblings whom I have taken care of them since I was about 8 years old. I have always been the older sister to whom my parents allowed me to help with their care. As I grew older I helped them with homework, dressing and I played a lot with them, I was always able to help my parents, although it was not my obligation, I liked to do it, which is why I have a great connection, a very special and loving relationship with them. We have traditions like going to play sports all together on weekends, having a special meal one day a week or holding meetings on special dates.
I have completed my secondary studies at the Gonzalo Arango I.E.D school as an academic bachelor, as professional studies I am a graduate of the international polytechnic as a professional technician in oral health and I am currently in the 5th semester of industrial engineering, all my studies completed in Bogotá. I currently work as a cashier waitress at a seafood restaurant called Coctel del Mar. I have been working there for 5 years.
I consider myself a very dedicated, enthusiastic person, willing to learn new things every day, as well as being a responsible, attentive, generous, understanding, loving woman, with the ability to adapt to change, always willing to collaborate and help others.
During the course of my life I have constantly had the possibility of living with small children, from my younger brothers whom I loved taking care of little ones to working in a garden very close to my house, I have always considered that I have a special connection with children In addition to being a babysitter, teacher or in charge of them, I have had the facility to create a friendship fostered by respect and affection for them, I have had the thought that each child is unique and it is a completely different world from the others, which is why which to understand them is the most important step to live with a child, from that beginning you begin to generate a special relationship, to be able to guide them correctly to a path full of respect in which they become great human beings in the future Well, that kind of education starts from a young age.
I chose to be an AU PAIR because it seems to me a unique opportunity, being able to collaborate with parents with the care and attention of their children, being able to do what I have always liked, caring for and sharing with children, as well as having the possibility of Knowing, understanding and living in another country with another culture is an experience that I would not miss.
