Hi future host family, my name is Maria Eduarda, but you can call me Duda or Maria, you can choose. I live in a small city in Rio Grande do Sul, called Campo Bom.
Now I will introduce my family, I live with my mom, my dad and my two dogs. My mom Tatiane, she is 45 years old and she works as a speech therapist, only with children. my dad Adriano, he is 47 years old and he used to work in a family company but nowadays he doesn’t work anymore and now he is a uber.
I have two dogs, Dora is a dachshoud, she is 4 or 5 years old, we don’t know because my dad got as a gift and I have Zuma too, she is the love of my life, when I’m at home, we spend all day together.
Let you know a little bit more about me, I’m a very happy person, I would say, J’m very responsable, very caring and I’m organized too. I’m a person who is careful with everything I do, who loves being around the people that I love.
My first professional experience was in a daycare, I helped all the classes from 4 months to 5 years. I had to change diapers, give them food, help them to eat, play with the kids, take care when them was in the playground, and other things.
My second professional experience was taking care a 7 years old boy, there I needed to play with him, help with his homework, heat the food, help him turning on de shower and making his bed so he can go sleep.
And I have experiences with my cousin and my niece, it’s not a professional experience but I saw them growing up and helped with a lot of things. Especially with my cousin, I spend a lot of time with him, we live very close and I see him everyday day in the week, I take and pick him from the school, we play, I help him with his homework, bathed him, changed his diapers, put him to bed, fed him and a lot of other things.
I have always wanted to be an au pair! I have decided to become one because I love kids and I want to improve my english. I also want to know more about the american way of life because since I was younger I have admired your country! Besides, I love to travel and I like to know about new culture, people and places. Certainly this experience will be very rich and at the end I know that I’m gonna be a different person and I'll be grateful for everything!
I will do my best to make this exchange program awesome for me and for my future host family! I would like to be part of the family routine and I hope to have a great time with the children. If you let me, I will prove to you that you can trust me!
I hope you choose me to be your au pair because I really want to make the difference in your kid life! I want to get close to them and care about them like a older sister. I'm pretty sure that love will grow day by day between us and I already can't wait for this.
