Role Overview: We are an active, organized family in Vienna, Virginia, looking for an energetic, engaging, and fun-loving Part-Time Nanny & Helper for our two wonderful kids (ages 7 and 3.5).

Our ideal candidate is someone dynamic, warm, and highly relatable who loves being hands-on with kids—whether that means starting a spontaneous dance party, kicking a soccer ball around the yard, or helping with creative crafts after school. Our 7-year-old especially thrives with a dynamic, high-energy mentor who brings enthusiasm and fun to the afternoon routine!

Key Responsibilities
Active Childcare & After-School Fun (~70% of role):
• Pickups & Transportation: Drive the kids safely home from school/preschool and off to after-school activities, sports, or local parks using your own reliable vehicle.
• Afternoon Energy & Engagement: Keep the kids actively engaged with screen-free imaginative or outdoor play, crafts, and reading.
• Routine & Homework Support: Guide a smooth transition from the school day, help our 7-year-old with homework, and provide healthy after-school snacks.
• Positive Guidance: Maintain clear, encouraging, and positive boundaries that keep the environment happy, safe, and structured.
Light Household Support (~30% of role):
• Simple Meal Prep: Make quick, simple kid-friendly dinners or help prep afternoon snacks and school lunchboxes.
• Common Area Tidying: Keep high-traffic family spaces neat by running a quick vacuum, wiping kitchen counters, loading/unloading the dishwasher, and guiding the kids to clean up their play areas.
Schedule & Location
• Hours: ~20 hours per week (Typically 2:00 PM – 6:30 PM Monday through Thursday but 2:00PM – 5:30PM on Fridays).
• Location: Vienna, VA (Northern Virginia / DC Metro area).
Candidate Qualifications & Requirements
• Experience: Nannying, camp counselor, babysitting, tutoring, or early education experience is a big plus!
• Transportation: Must have your own safe, reliable car, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.
• Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
• Personality Fit: Energetic, punctual, reliable, empathetic, and a great communicator who brings high enthusiasm and initiative to every afternoon.
• Background: Must pass a standard background check and provide strong references.
