hello!
My name is Ainara, I am 26 years old and I recently moved to Switzerland with my boyfriend, from Barcelona. I am an Early Years / Kindergarten Educator. As you can see on my CV, I did an Advanced Vocational Training in Spain, that I finished in June of 2024. I also did a training on Living/Alive Education, at the school El Roure (Barcelona).

I believe that children must be educated according to each individual’s needs and interests, so an educator’s job is to find out what the children’s passions are, and helping them nurture them. As well as helping them find out what things they like, exposing them to different subjects so they have access to a wide range of things. I especially enjoy spending time in nature with children and watching them explore and discover the world around them.

My own education journey as a child was always in what in Spain we call “free or alive schools”, all of them followed the currents of Waldorf-Steiner, Montessori and Pikler. I believe that my own education is what has given me my passion for childhood and education.

When I was 17, I went to a boarding school funded by J. Krishnamurti in England, Brockwood Park School. There, I had the opportunity to live in a lovely community for 3 years. I learnt so much about my relationships with people and all the students were educated in a much broader aspect than purely academics. We were taught to think and inquire into life and all the things that come with it.

I have a lot of experience working with young children, mostly between the ages of 2 and 7 years old. I worked as an educator at three different schools. All of them were also “free or alive schools”, some of them were the ones I went to as a child. Free/alive education means that the philosophy believes in educating children as a whole, so not just academically, but also emotionally and in all aspects of their development, Adjusting all activities to their evolution and giving them a lot of free time to explore their surroundings and their relationship with their equals and with adults. All the schools I worked at use and apply ideas that come from the Waldorf-Steiner pedagogy, Montessori and Pikler.

Aside, I have been a babysitter for many years, for multiple families. But with two of them I have worked for 2 and 3 years each. I spent time with the children (aged 3-11 years old) between two to three times a week.

I am currently looking for a job that is related to children’s education and would love to find a family to work for and take care of your little ones.
