Hello and hi to the family I will be working for. I am 19 years old and would love to be an au pair as it has been my dream for the longest time. I would love nothing more than to be apart of your family and to help your little one(s) grow not only in knowledge but in the ways of life as well. What I mean by ways of life is helping the children deal with their emotions in a constructive way rather than a destructive way. To be present with the children and be fun , artsy and build a relationship with them that they feel comfortable to be around me and to talk to me when something is amiss. I will be a great babysitter because I have experience in babysitting and I absolutely love children even the little tantrums they might throw but that makes it all the more reason to help them work through their emotions and to not talk down on them but rather to check my tone and to be careful as well as thoughtful to how I respond to the situation at hand. I believe it it important to form a "layer of relatability" if I may put it that way between the babysitter and the children. Communication is key especially between the family and babysitter.
I will do what is required of me and sometimes go beyond to insure the children are well taken care of when they are my responsibility. I will love them unconditionally and be a good sport but partaking in the "but why" questions ?
